Mid-1900s Antique Dirk *

This antique dirk was made in the mid 1900s. “R.A. (Robert Allison) Scotland” is stamped on the back top fitting of the sheath.

The blade is 11 1/2 inches with an over all length of 18 1/2 inches. The grip is made of wood with basket weave carving. The dirk is in good condition overall.

Description

This antique dirk was made in the mid 1900s. “R.A. (Robert Allison) Scotland” is stamped on the back top fitting of the sheath.The knife and fork are secured to the sheath by short chains.

The wooden grip is carved with a basket weave design. The blade is 11 1/2 inches with an over all length of 18 1/2 inches.

There is a thistle design etched around the base of the grip and beneath the stones on the dirk, knife and fork.
